SmartSizer Editing

by Walter Floriani

Editing software is one of the greatest advancements in embroidery control and creation that has ever taken place in the embroidery industry.

Coming from the era of mechanical digitizing, where editing was, at best, minimal and simplistic; as well as witnessing and adapting to every major advancement ever made to embroidery software, I feel extremely qualified to make this strong of a statement.

Editing an embroidery design, in my opinion, should also be regarded as the environment where all your foundational and a majority of your advanced skills are developed and learned. My point here is that editing software is a great place to begin to understand and simply control the process for many embroiderers, and it can, and will, offer a level of complete design control for most, but it is a necessity for all.

This has been the driving force in the development of our editing software product. I wanted it to be easy to operate, possess real embroidery knowledge and offer limitless control.

First of all, and maybe even of more overall importance, is the fact that Floriani Software has been a team effort in every aspect of development and customer support by a group of real embroidery professionals with more than 200 years experience between us.

This development process by real embroidery professionals continues and is evident by our "Free Upgrade" policy: As advanced as I feel the software is, I still personally view it as "A Work in Progress", so when an idea that benefits and amplifies the software's ability it is developed, it is integrated, initiated and released to our Software Family Members. Our clients are indeed viewed as Family and the input and suggestions are taken very seriously, and they really do have an impact. Multiple enhancements have been initiated from user input thus far. In my opinion, this is a first for our industry, and it personally means an amazing amount to me.
