In the Quick Start III for Borders and Frames III, we will continue Quick Start II adding embellishments to the old pair of jeans. By the time you have finished this lesson you should have a good working knowledge on how to digitize a line that your embellishments will follow in Borders and Frames III.
1. Go to the Zoom combo box and select “To fit” with your left mouse button.

2. Close the properties box by clicking the left mouse button on the small “X” at the top right corner of the box.

3. Click on the Run icon with the left mouse button.

4. Click the right mouse button on the 5th color (yellow) and select Apply Color with the left mouse button.

5. At this point we will digitize a running stitch line around the outside of the pocket by clicking the left mouse button 10 times.

6. After you have placed the 10 digitizing points, click the right mouse button once to set the stitch line.

7. Click on the Properties icon with your left mouse button.

8. Click on the Select icon with your left mouse button; notice your running stitch line objects active.

9. Change the Type to “Symbol”.

10. Click on the three dots with your left mouse button to view all symbols.

11. Scroll down and select the Daisy symbol .

12. Click on Apply with the left mouse button.

13. You can add or take away the amount of symbols on a line by simply increasing or decreasing the width of the symbol.

14. Close the properties box by clicking the left mouse button on the small “X” at the top right corner of the box.

15. Click the 3D icon with the left mouse button.

16. You will see a 3D rendering of what your design will look like on your jeans.

17. Once this is done, go to the drop down menu FILE and click on “Save As”.

18. Save your design on your hard drive as a C2S file.
