In the Quick Start II for Borders and Frames III, we will load a picture taken with a digital camera and set up a working template to embellish a pair of old jeans . By the time you have finished this lesson you should have a good working knowledge on how to set a 1:1 scale for Borders and Frames III .
Before we get started with the software, let us explain how we got the picture .
We used:
1 . An old pair of jeans
2 . A ruler
3 . A digital camera to take the picture .
Notice in Figure BF - 30 how we placed the ruler in the picture . The only reason for the ruler is to help set our scale in the software so we will be working with our embroidery embellishments in a 1:1 scale . By doing it this way, we will have the software show us how the embroidery should look before sewing it .
