Floriani’s Embroidery Software is for both the experienced and beginning
users. This manual is not only filled with information about how to use the
program, but it also includes many time saving tips that will make you more
productive, efficient and effective in your embroidery projects.
To better understand how to navigate through the electronic manual,
you must understand how the platform works. Think of the platform like a
mall and in this mall there are 9 different stores that can be unlocked.
In order to unlock these doors to the mall, you will need to purchase
the key to the store or stores you wish to open. You only have to
decide which door / doors will best unlock your embroidery potential.

When you first install the software, the Thread Converter software is already
unlocked and ready to be used. This is Floriani’s Embroidery Software platform’s
lowest level and is free to you. The seven products above will need “Keys”
before they can be used. These keys can be purchased from your local
Floriani dealer.
When reading this manual, notice the icons beside each function. These
icons represent each level or “key” in the platform. If you see these icons by
any of the functions described in the electronic manual you will know if this function
is available to you. You will also know what functions you might be missing and
would like to have, depending on what you purchased.

This icon has two purposes. It allows the technologically inclined to be aware of something complex and in some cases exciting and lets the novice know they might want to skip this section because the information may be confusing. |

This icon lets you know of potential dangers and will warn you about the pitfalls of using your computer. |

When this icon will appears in the manual, it’s simple to show that the author has something to share. |

This icon is placed next to sections of this manual where there is an example that might help understand more clearly what is being explained. |
Terms Used in This Manual
In the Floriani Embroidery Software Platform, there are several different ways to activate
the same function or feature: by clicking your mouse on a drop down menu or clicking
on an icon or in some cases using a hot key.

When suggested that you click an icon with the mouse, a picture of the icon button will appear in the left margin. |
|
|
“Choose the Open command from the drop down menu File” is the same as “Choose File, Open (Alt+F+O).” |
|
|
“Alt+F+O”means that you can access this command by holding down the "Alt" key and pressing the "F" key. The action opens the drop down menu File. Pressing the O key next will activate the Open command. For example, when you see a key combination such as "Alt+F+O", remember that you don’t hold down all three keys at once; you press the"Alt+F" and then the "O". |
