Quick Start Lesson I - Convert Colors from PES to Floriani's Polyester

In the Quick Start for Thread Converter Pro III, you will load a PES design and

convert the thread colors to Floriani's Polyester automatically. By the time you

have finished this lesson you should have a good working knowledge on how

Thread Converter Pro III works.


So lets get started and have some fun.....


1. Go to the drop down menu Tools and click on "General Options" using the left mouse button.



2. As a default, Auto match thread colors on loading is checked.



3. As a default, Floriani's Polyester is selected.



4. If you wish to choose a different thread type, click on the thread combo box and select the thread /manufacturer of your choice.



5. Click OK using the left mouse button.



6. Go to the drop down menu File and click on Open using the left mouse button.



7. Click on TCP-QS-01-Truck.pes using the left mouse button.

8. Click on OK using the left mouse button.



9. Notice that the design colors have been converted (to the closest match) from the PES color pallet to the Floriani's Polyester” thread pallet. 



10. With your left mouse button, click color box 1.



11. Looking at Figure TCP-11



1. Thread manufacturer used (Floriani's Polyester).

2. Thread manufacturer number

3. Thread manufacturer color name


12. In this example, if you do not have thread number Floriani's Polyester 784, but you do have Madeira Rayonthread. Simply change the manufacturer to Madeira Rayon.



13. Notice when selecting a different manufacturer(in this case Madeira Rayon) The software will automatically select the closest match to the new manufacturer.



14. Click OK using the left mouse button.



15. Go to the drop down menu File and click onPrint Preview using the left mouse button.



16. Notice you can print your design 1:1 with the following information:

1. Design file name

2. Stitch count

3. Number of colors

4. Width

5. Height

6. Scale to print

7. Date printed



17. With your left mouse button, click on the next page icon.




18. The next page or pages will be the instruction sheet on how the design runs. Notice that for each color change it shows you:

1. A picture of what will be sewn

2. A color box that represents the thread colors

3. The thread name

4. The thread number and manufacturer.

5. The approximate amount of thread used to sew the design.



19. If you have a printer, using your left mouse button click on Print, to printer your instruction sheet.



20. Click OK using your left mouse button to send the instruction sheet to your printer.




21. Go to the drop down menu FILE and click on Save As.



22. Save your design on your hard drive as a C2S file.



With the Thread Converter Pro III, you are able to save your design in C2S format only. If you wish to save your design in any of the other embroidery formats available with this platform, you will need to purchase the other

levels.
