Description:
The “Artwork” function is used for several things. Making notes on artwork before
digitizing and adding to pre-existing artwork. There are three tools used in the
Artwork function:
1. Pen
Input Mode: Bezier:
- Click the left mouse button to add point
- Hold down the left mouse button after first point is added (to make curves).
- Hold down the “Shift” key and then click the left mouse button to create horizontal lines up/down, left/right and a 45 degree angle.
Input Mode: Simple Draw (default mode):
- Click the left mouse button to add a point.
- Hold down the “Control” key after first point is added (to make curves).
- Hold down the “Shift” key and click the left mouse button to create horizontal lines up/down, left/right and a 45 degree angle.
Free Hand:
- Click and hold the left mouse button to add a point
2. Rectangle
Input Mode: Bezier, Simple Draw or Free Hand:
- Click and hold the left mouse button to create an rectangle.
- Hold down the “Control” key and click the left mouse button to create a perfect square.
3. Ellipse
Input Mode: Bezier, Simple Draw or Free Hand:
- Click and hold the left mouse button to create an ellipse.
- Hold down the “Control” key and click the left mouse button to create a perfect square.
Note:
Artwork lines can be converted to: Applique, Complex Fills, Cross Stitch,
Run, Satin, and Steil.
As a default the Artwork objects Line, rectangles and ellipse are transparent.
If you wish to fill them in.
- Click on the Artwork object.
- Click the on Properties icon .

- Under the “Artwork” tab, click on “Fill”.
- Click on Apply.
